일반인이 합법적으로 구입할 수 있는 미사일과 기관총이 장착된 '스파이 자동차'가 출시되었다. 물론 이 자동차의 후드 및 그릴에 부착된 미사일과 기관총은 실제로는 사용할 수 없는 '장식용' 이지만, 사람들을 공포에 떨게 할 수 있을 정도로 정교하게 제작되었다고 지난 30일 서리 뉴스 등의 언론이 보도했다.

일반인을 위한 스파이 자동차는 캐나다 클로버데일에 위치한 자동차 제작 업체인 익스클러시브모터카스사가 제작한 것으로, 회사 측은 이 자동차가 '007 어나더 데이'에 등장한 제임스 본드 자동차와 흡사한 모습이라고 밝혔다.

자동차의 겉모습은 영화에서 본드 자동차로 사용되었던 애스턴 마틴과 비슷하지만, 실제로는 포드 무스탕 차체가 사용되었으며 425마력 출력의 무스탕 엔진이 장착되었다. 로켓과 기관총으로 장식된 자동차에 탑승해 합법적으로 도로를 주행할 수 있다는 것이 제조 및 판매 회사 측의 설명. 수작업으로 제작된 '스파이 자동차'의 판매 가격은 미화로 125,000달러(약 1억7,000만원)다.

For all the spy car lovers out there, including myself, driving the 2007 Bond car is a dream that can at last come true. The luxury sports car is inspired by the James Bond movie “Die Another Day” and features all the cool spy gadgets like hood-mounted machine gun cannons, a revolving license plate and rocket launchers.

Businessman Mark Stuzka teamed up with Exclusive Motor Cars to produce the automobile, which will be displayed at the Vancouver International Auto Show this week. With each custom-made car order, owners will receive a framed autograph from Pierce Brosnan and a movie poster from “Die Another Day.”

We were inspired to reproduce the ultimate spy car from the James Bond movie, Die Another Day. We were not interested in just reproducing an Aston Martin (That’s Aston Martin’s job) but to build a car that had the James Bond spy car options. (exclusivemotorcars)
