[美 ISIS 위성사진] 북한 핵시설 재가동 사실 확인 못해..

미국 싱크탱크 과학국제안전보장연구소(ISIS)는 북한이 핵시설을 다시 가동한 것을 아직 확인하지 못했다고 밝혔다고 지지(時事) 통신이 28일 보도했다. 통신에 따르면 ISIS는 전날(현지시간) 미국 민간위성이 촬영한 북한 영변의 폐연료봉 재처리 관련 시설을 찍은 사진을 공개했다.

ISIS는 사진을 분석한 결과 영변 핵시설의 재가동을 나타내는 수증기 등이 보이지 않았다고 설명했다. 일부 언론은 북한이 4월 중순 이래 핵무기 원료인 플루토늄 생산을 위해 재처리 시설의 가동에 착수했을 가능성이 높다고 보도했다.

이들은 미국 정찰위성을 통해 영변의 핵 재처리시설에서 수증기가 나오는 것을 포착했다는 사실 등을 전했다.

Commercial Satellite Imagery of 2009 Nuclear Test Site in North Korea

미국 워싱턴의 핵 감시기구인 과학국제안보연구소(ISIS)는 북한이 핵실험장을 실시한 것으로 추정되는 장소의 위성사진을 공개했다. ISIS는 미국의 위성사진업체인 디지털 글로브가 북한의 핵실험 실시 1주일 전(5월18일)에 촬영한 북한 함경북도 길주군 풍계리 부근 사진을 인터넷 홈페이지에 올렸다.< ISIS 인터넷판 >2009-05-29 23:36:56

Commercial Satellite Imagery of Yongbyon Nuclear Site from May 26, 2009

The coal-fired plant is used to generate steam for several processes at the adjacent reprocessing plant, including plutonium separation. There does not appear to be any smoke coming out of the chimney in the May 26 image. There also does not appear to be any steam emitted from the piping leading to the reprocessing plant. 

북한 핵처리시설 COAL-FIRED 형태

플루토늄 분리를 포함하는 재처리공정 과정에 나올 수 있는 증기생성을 표착 할 수 있는데 2009.5.26 이미지에서 굴뚝으로부터 조금의 증기(연기)도 보이지 않는다.
